The Effect of Seed Weight on Growth of Seaweeds Kappaphycus alvarezii in Integrated Marine Aquaculture of Ekas Bay, East Lombok Regency

Integrated marine aquaculture or known as Multi-Tropical Aquaculture (IMTA) is an alternative development in activities under the concept of environmental conservation. There are several important aspects supporting success seaweed cultivation including use right weight seeds at beginning activities. The purpose this study was to analyze effect seedling on growth Kappaphycus Alvarezii cultivated integrated areas and determine best seed weight. This used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting 4 treatments 3 replications obtain 12 experimental units. were initial weights 50 g, 100 150 200 g. results showed that different system with longline method absolute average obtained ranged from 57.67 g - 149.00 while specific rate 1.28%/day ,31%/day chlorophyll-a found treatment value range 0.628 mg/L 1.520 mg/L.
